To provide puerperal proper intake of calories and various nutrients and to address the meals for your post-nativity month-long recuperation, the hospital specially designed maternity medicated meal based on a balanced diet combined with traditional Chinese medicine ingredients for mothers.
Principles of maternal meal preparation
- It is prepared jointly with the TCM gynecologist of the hospital.
- Cook with vegetable oil instead of sesame oil.
- In the course of cooking, no alcohol such as rice wine is added.
- Avoid raw or cold food.
- Do not use sour food, such as plum, lemon, etc.
- The principle of diet is light, moderate salt, no monosodium glutamate (MSG).
- Avoid fried, spicy and irritating cooking.
- Suitable vegetables: carrot, cabbage, water spinach, chrysanthemum greens, spinach, celery, okinawan spinach.
- Suitable fruit: apple, guava, grape, papaya, strawberry, cherry, peach, banana.
- The traditional Chinese medicine department of the hospital carefully prepares the formula of milk-promoting drinks, which is suitable for mothers with all kinds of constitutions.
Charging standards
- Five meals a day, including breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, supper, and night snack: priced at NT$1200/day; maternal milk promoting drinks set at NT$1,410/day. (NT$1,600 - NT$2,000/day for maternity care centers).
